The title novella is the best of the three, and worthy of a high rating on its own. Similar to the Green Mile, it's fascinating to see a lean, economic novella be turned into a sweeping 2+++ hour epic. Legends of the Fall is an incredible story, but what's more interesting may be the speed with which Harrison actually wrote the story. In an interview he gave, he said he was looking over some old artifacts of his wife's family, the idea came to him (loosely based on some truths) and he just pounded out the novella right there. Well worth the time to read this one.
