Those who do not understand the sickness that is taught by Islam may not believe this book is written about the truth. As horrific as it is, it is happening to young girls that will forever have their lives changed. Nujood had a very meager existence before being married off to a much older man. Reading of her abuse and having her mother-in-law ignore her pleas for help is heart wrenching. As Americans we cannot allow this tradition of abuse to invade our society as the followers of Islam grow daily on our soil. The book addresses some groups who are fighting this in Yemen to save the female children there. Thankfully, there are some who are willing to try and stop it.
