A Case of Need
Book - 1968
A Case of Need is Michael Crichton's award-winning debut novel, written shortly after he completed his medical internship. Set against the ever-building pressure and pace of a large Boston medical center, the tensions flare-and explode-when a surgical operation tragically ends in death, raising countless questions. Was it accidental malpractice? A violation of the Hippocratic oath? Or cold-blooded murder?

Add a CommentI’m old fashioned when it comes to reading. I enjoy the feeling of a book in my hand and the feel of turning an actual page. It’s unfortunate that this is not available in book format. Hopefully it will be considered for future reading enjoyment as I’ve heard it’s worth the read.
Enjoyed revisiting "Old Boston" while a well armed Physician tries to free an associate from probable false accusations. Pre-legalization of abortions in US. I recall the horror stories of desperate women forced underground.
