From the best-selling author of Skinny Dip and Razor Girl , a hilarious new novel of social and political intrigue, set against the glittering backdrop of Florida's gold coast. It's the height of the Palm Beach charity ball season: for every disease or cause, there's a reason for the local luminaries to eat (minimally), drink (maximally), and be seen. But when a prominent high-society dowager suddenly vanishes during a swank gala, and is later found dead in a concrete grave, panic and chaos erupt. Kiki Pew was notable not just for her wealth and her jewels—she was an ardent fan of the Winter White House resident just down the road, and a founding member of the POTUSSIES, a group of women dedicated to supporting their President. Never one to miss an opportunity to play to his base, the President immediately declares that Kiki was the victim of rampaging immigrant hordes. This, it turns out, is far from the truth. The truth might just lie in the middle of the highway, where a bizarre discovery brings the First Lady's motorcade to a grinding halt (followed by some grinding between the First Lady and a love-struck Secret Service agent). Enter Angie Armstrong, wildlife wrangler extraordinaire, who arrives at her own conclusions after she is summoned to the posh island to deal with a mysterious and impolite influx of huge, hungry pythons . . . Carl Hiaasen can brighten even the darkest of days and Squeeze Me is pure, unadulterated Hiaasen. Irreverent, ingenious, and highly entertaining, Squeeze Me perfectly captures the absurdity of our times.

Hiaasen must still be butthurt about the Trump Presidency. No one wants to real a whole book about orange man. This just drones on and I thought it would pick up... Is the next book going to follow up with the "Big Guy", and antics from Hunter's crackpipe and his strippers??
Garbage, I stopped reading halfway through

Another thoroughly entertaining romp through seamy South Florida, athough I fear Mr. Hiaasen will never get an invitation to Mar-a-Lago. Loved it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. A good number of laugh-out-loud moments. And like Hiaasen, I believe Trump is a scary buffoon. Even though Hiaasen never mentions him by name.

If you hate Trump, you'll love this book. If you wish artists and fiction writers would stop shoving their politics down our throats, skip this Hiaasen outing.

I've read and enjoyed nearly all of his books, but I couldn't even finish this one. Could we just stop all of the hate and get along?

By the way, I didn't vote for Trump, I am a union member and a public school teacher.

This is Carl Hiassen as I remember: fast paced, humorous, absurd, not deep, irreverent, and over the top. Fans of Skink will be rewarded, and those who suffered during the Trump years will enjoy it.

If you can watch an episode of Married with Children, and then feel completely satisfied and wonderfully entertained. This book is for you.

I did enjoy this book, I needed a laugh and got several. He's not subtle, but that's the fun of reading it. If you are just looking for a fun read, nothing deep, you will enjoy it.

This had potential. I enjoyed reading about an animal control specialist who re-homes animals (to their more natural habitat). Angie is a spunky gal and her character is fun. However, the book spirals into the author’s political slant and the poked-fun-at politician. With overload in the media about politics and everyone’s take on it, it would have been nice to have just had the story without politics involved. It started getting convoluted to me, so I became disinterested about halfway through.
