Add a CommentI so enjoy B. Kingsolver's ability to tell a story and incorporate so many details from various cultures, history and everyday situations. Her prose is spot on and her characters are witty, articulate and engaging. Taylor, Alice and Turtle continue their adventures.
"Myths are myths. They're good if they work for you, and bad if they don't."
rich discussion of important issues highly personalized with real characters. Great writing.
Pigs in Heaven is a very moving and poetic (but not in your face, abstract, oh-I'm-so-poetic way) book. I loved it. Barbara Kingsolver is my new favourite author.
Beautiful story. I really enjoyed this novel and its predecessor "The Bean Trees."
Good book. Because it was not as long or involved as PRODIGAL SUMMER AND FLIGHT BEHAVIOR it almost seemed like a short story to me though it certainly ended on a satisfying note.
Read this when it first published. I still think of Turtle.
A great story! Barbara Kingsolver is an awesome writer, and I like her books, especially "Animal Dreams".
