A very good astronomy and astrophysics book for junior high and high school students. The manga really grabs the reader's interest, slowly easing the reader into astronomy. The manga covers the basic concepts; however, the (more advanced) details are explained via textbook-style paragraphs. The textbook-style parts are engaging and lively though, and are appropriate for grade 11 - 1st-year university. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of depth in the cosmology sections - Friedmann equation, Robertson-Walker metric, density fluctuations in the early universe, etc. Overall, this is an exciting guide for people new to astronomy. (And it's in manga form!)
