Add a CommentI always enjoy a multi-narrator read. I quite enjoyed the characters in this one.
I have always enjoyed books written by Ann Patchett, especially those with strong character development. I did not dislike this book, but there are more than 20 major characters: family portrait: a collage of parents, children, stepchildren, siblings, and stepsiblings.. Just when you wanted to follow the story line of one of them, the book jumped to another and it often took a few paragraphs to figure out exactly who the new person was and their significance. I would have preferred fewer well developed characters. Kristi & Abby Tabby
