Malcolm little started off as a gangsta teen/young 20s and ended up being a famous civil rights activist in the 1950s. He ends up getting locked up and in jail he meets somebody every special. Malcolm changes his mindset , religion and last name and gets ready to start a new life. He becomes a civil rights activist and speaks for the nation of islam and the mistreated black people during segregation. Becoming a hero to the African Americans and a wanted dead man for the white people later on he is murdered.
My evaluation on the book was very interesting. I been knew about Malcolm x and his story , but reading a biography on his whole life was interesting because I never knew certain things had happened in his life. For example I didn't know that malcolm x father was killed by the KKK and I never knew that his mom was put in a mental hospital.
I recommend this book to young people oe people around my age because it's good to know your history and especially black young kids because people fought for our rights and we should not take advantage if them.

At first I thought this book would be really boring but it isn't. I enjoyed and also learned a lot from it example - Malcolm x and Martin Luther king Jr wanted the same thing (freedom for blacks) but had two different approaches and how they only met in their entire life times
i need this book right away because i need to do my homework for break
