Paul Sheldon. He's a bestselling novelist who has finally met his biggest fan. Her name is Annie Wilkes and she is more than a rabid reader--she is Paul's nurse, tending his shattered body after an automobile accident. But she is also his captor, keeping him prisoner in her isolated house.

Now Annie wants Paul to write his greatest work--just for her. She has a lot of ways to spur him on. One is a needle. Another is an ax. And if they don't work, she can get really nasty.

Great psychological thriller! I usually find King's novels too scary to read but this one was perfect.

This book is chilling! Annie, Paul's "number one fan", will keep you up at night!
Well done, King!

This book is simply an addiction. I kinda wish there was a sequence to this story, "the Return of Annie Wilkes" haha, I watched the movie two times before I knew there was a book; I was cheating myself watching the movie version as the book gave a lot more, stuff I never saw in the movie. I will definitely be prioritizing reading the books before I see the movies.

This book is Stephen King's
best work. I love the story. A
a severely injured man meets
his #1 fan. She Seems Nice at
first. But he Soon finds out she
is psychotic and plans to keep
him in her home forever! It
gave me chills.

This undoubtedly King's best book. Just the right length, the characters are believable and King's depiction of the clearly insane Annie is not only realistic but down-right bone chilling.

Awesome book. King is completely amazing to take a book that has no scene changes and keep you enthralled from beginning to end. I have to say the most creative adverb I've ever read, near the end, "footlessly".

This book is a hell of a lot better than the movie was.

Great book - quite a page turner, even though I had already seen the movie.

One of Stephen King's best books, in part, because this could really happen.
