Beauty and the Beast has always been one of my favourite animated Disney princess movies. I particularly liked Belle because she was smart, kind and she was also a total bookworm like myself. In addition, this magical movie is super cute and funny and conveys a beautiful message about how inner beauty is so much more important than outer beauty. Not to mention, the fantastic characters such as Mrs. Potts & Lumiere are so memorable. I would definitely recommend this film and rate it 4/5 stars.

This is a total love story. I like the humor and Gaston, well he's just awkward. Belle is a tough girl and someone I would like to try to be like. As for Emma Watson, I think she's a good actress and makes a great Belle. The only thing that bothers me is her accent. Otherwise, this movie is totally awesome! You should watch it as soon as possible.

I wanted to compare the Emma Watson live-action version to the fully animated version and both versions are excellent.

Still the champion of Disney's animated films, Beauty and the Beast is a gorgeous, entertaining adaptation of the "tale as old as time." Some people claim it shows Stockholm Syndrome, but those people have clearly never actually watched the film. Belle is spunky, smart, and feels out of place in her little backwater village. Her father is loving, absent-minded, and a brilliant inventor. The villain, Gaston, is unusual in that, in any other movie, he might be considered the hero. Which is the point. The society of the village approves of him, hangs on his every word and action, and does what he tells them to, to the point of thinking there is something wrong with Belle when she doesn't. This movie has a lot of hidden themes that go beyond just the romantic fairy tale it's presented as. The songs are also classics. The side characters steal the scenes they are in. Overall, this movie truly is the best Disney has ever had. (So far, anyway.)

Always a favorite, and for good reason. This movie has many themes that you barely understand on first viewing and/or childhood.

This movie musical is coming to Starlight Theatre in KCMO summer of 2016! This story remains one of my favorite Disney classics, with a little something for all ages to enjoy together.

"Beauty and the Beast" in many people eyes was the best movie of 1991. I think it is one of the best Disney Animation Feature Films ever produced. Seems a lot of you think I am right because 135 KCLS patrons are waiting for their chance at one of the eight copies in the library catalog. Adults will enjoy this movie as much as children. It is just a Classic Five Star Disney Animation Feature Film!
